The Bette Davis quote shown at the beginning of the film is incorrect
Scenario

But as a mysterious killer stalks Hollywood’s starlets, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past. The Hollywood starlet Maxine stubs out her cigarette on is Theda Bara, the actress Pearl was inspired to name her alligator in Pearl (2022). It’s actually “Until you’re known in my profession as a monster, you’re not a star.” Maxine Minx: Do you know what happened to the last person who tried to kill me?

I bashed her fucking head in. In keeping with the film’s 80s aesthetic, a “Be Kind, Rewind” sticker is displayed after the credits, like in many video stores. Gimme All Your Lovin Written by Frank Beard (as Frank Lee Beard), Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill (as Joe Michael Hill) Performed by ZZ Top Courtesy of Warner Records By arrangement with Warner Music Group Film & TV Licensing This is the movie I was most excited about out of the three. I’m a little sad that it was a bit of a letdown.
It’s certainly the weakest of the three
I watched it with my family and we all agreed. It’s just not an engaging story, what exactly is the point? The character development is also extremely shallow, I wasn’t really rooting for anyone. Now, I love the homages to horror movies, I loved the chase on the set of the movie, it reminded me of Scream 3.
Visually it’s also beautiful
I also loved seeing the Bates Motel and the house from Psycho. It looks like it was shot on real film. It’s grainy, vibrant, colorful, lots of contrast, the camera work was great. I just love it when a movie feels like a movie and not an Amazon ad.

The tone was also a bit of a mess, it’s a bit of suspense, a bit of drama, and just a bit of horror. Unfortunately, the story falls short, and it wasn’t the big epic finale I was hoping for. Check out what movies and TV shows are coming to streaming this month.
